User-Agent: Build Identifier: It would be too nice to have an evolution emerge from the CVS, that would be good to test the new Evolution with GTK+ 2.x support. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I don't feel much for an evolution cvs ebuild thinking of the problems we have with stable evo releases. But if you can provide a correct ebuild i would have a good look at it, i would prefer an official (beta)release ebuild (there is none that i am aware of).
Created attachment 8355 [details] CVS Ebuild for Evolution Here's a cvs ebuild for evolution from the forums here-->http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=31519 . I'm not the author, just thought og putting it in bugzilla.
Foser - This ebuild does produce quite unstable software... Tho it would be convienent to have in portage, I don't think it really belongs there... Just my .02 worth. Lin_Matt
sorry - wrong order of +/- in diff - should look like: @@ -22,7 +22,7 @@ >=gnome-extra/bonobo-conf-0.16 >=gnome-base/bonobo-1.0.21 >=gnome-base/gnome-common-1.2 - >=gnome-extra/gal-0.22 + >=gnome-extra/gal-0.2.2 =gnome-base/gconf-1.0* >=gnome-extra/gtkhtml-1.1.7 >=gnome-base/oaf-0.6.10
well i know a lot of ppl would like to have it, but i'm not really ready to support it just yet (which is what we have to do when it goes in). So i prefer to give it some more time to mature (at least till after the next gentoo release).
i agree. evolution-cvs also depends on too many other cvs components like gal-cvs, gtkhtml-cvs and libsoup-cvs. i would much rather have a snapshot ready. i've tried this and i needed a hack just to get it to start, let alone make it a comparable mail client to evo-1.2.
