Description Matt Machczynski 2002-04-02 18:15:17 UTC
version 1.0 of gentoo
/boot - /dev/hdb1
swap - /dev/hdb2
/ - /dev/hdb3

after setting up grub
grub
root (hd1,0)
setup (hd1)
quit

of course, i wanted grub to write to the MBR on the second disk

when the grub bootloader went to launch it just filled the screen with
'GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB' etc

i hopped on #gentoo to see someone else had the same trouble.

hi

im afraid im not able to solve this. i looked over mandrake's patchset
to grub-0.91 hoping to see an obvious fix. unfortunately i dont see one.

they about 5 patches that we dont have, but they dont appear related.
i could be wrong. i dont know what to say here, except i probably
cannot resolve this bug.

any more thoughts?
