Attached is the initial ebuild for the Gnome2 applet stickynotes. I've placed it in gnome-extra/stickynotes_applet. From the stickynotes website: This is a simple applet to create, view, and manage sticky notes on the Gnome Desktop. It requires at least Gnome 2.0, and it's associated libraries.

could you fix the deps, they're too generic like this and the SLOT is incorrect btw, but i guess that's a typo. There is already a sticky notes applet in the tree btw : goats. But i suppose this is going to be the official one in time (or so i heard)..
Okay, I updated the ebuild. I based the list of deps on what was listed in the RPM spec that comes in the tarball. Its a pretty basic set of Gnome libs. And I fixed my SLOT typeo. Lol. :) I've not tried goats, but I saw sticknotes_applet listed on the 5th Toe website, as well as popping up in the "Recent Software" section on gnome.org. So I gave it a try, liked it, and wrote up an ebuild for it. So I guess that means its the official one... but why we'd need an 'official' sticky notes applet is beyond me, unless this gets absorbed into gnome-applets or something like that.

Created attachment 7895 [details] The REAL sticknotes_applet-1.0.6-r1.ebuild Hehe. I had some misnamed files. THIS is the correct -r1 ebuild.
it is going to be, but that won't be until the next development cycle before it will be stable in gentoo (months from now).
well, i don't really see the value in adding this anymore, since it's now integrated in the unstable gnome-applets tree. In time it will be available trough that. Right now we have other notes applets to do the same in the tree, adding this for the few months (while it's probably unmaintained as package) isn't an option.
