it did change something ( adding -ffriend-injection )

but i got the same very error when emerging fox.
i'll try another time.

okay, i tried another time to compile libtool and then fox 1 but i still get the same error,

i googled a bit and it seems it's pretty simple to fix the ebuild : 
add the "libtoolize --copy --force" line close to the autoconf and co.

Sorry, i'm not accepting fixes for fox-1.0* anymore. This version will go away as soon as the only dependency (fxscintilla-1.62-r1) leaves the tree, which will be shortly. Fox-1.0 is long overdue, being upstream unsupported for ages.
