I'm afraid in that case we can't mark the package ~amd64, sorry. We can have another look at this if you can provide a patch that fixes the issue mentioned in comment 1 though, so feel free to reopen it to attach a fix :)

quick'n dirty fix

Even not being a C coder, I don't think this bug is amd64 specific (I might be wrong, this is obvious ;).
The patch attached is a quick fix to the segfault (probably bad arguments to getopt). Can anybody confirm that the bug is not tiggered in x86 using the same args? The software forges frames and datagrams without problems if feeded with the right args (well, I still need to test all the options).
I'll try to contact the maintainer to see if he is interested in helping with the issue.

Cheers.

ah, if it's something that simple i might as well look into it.. no promises though ;)

Thanks.

Comment 6 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-22 10:49:18 UTC
ok, the patch seems to work so far, so..

- emerges fine on amd64
- passes collision-test
- passes multilib-strict
- works (with path)

Comment 7 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-24 02:53:28 UTC
actually, as it's not amd64 i'd prefer if the actual maintainers would apply/look over the patch.

netmon herd: when you go and fix the issue mentioned in comment #1, can you please also add the ~amd64 keyword? thanks in advance
Comment 8 Markus Ullmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-10 06:21:16 UTC
Fixed in CVS, added ~amd64 as requested and kept x86 keyword as this really falls under a "minor" fix
