Description James Horton 2006-09-17 16:18:10 UTC
JFFNMS has just release version 8.3 which has numerous fixes
and enhanments and should make for a much easier ebuild to maintained.

Also, could an AMD64 version of the ebuild be created in addition to
the x86 version of the ebuild? I have a turion ML-37 I'd like to
test/use with JFFNMS....

The new 0.8.3 version has different flag settings then the 0.8.2 verions.
Particularly related to php-4 and php-5 issues.

Here are the flags that I set, because building jffnms 0.8.3
complained and said the flags were needed: package.use:
dev-lang/php gd wddx apache2 firebird mysql snmp sockets -spl

However I still get this error:
!!! ERROR: net-analyzer/jffnms-0.8.3 failed.
Call stack:
  ebuild.sh, line 1562: Called dyn_setup
  ebuild.sh, line 665: Called pkg_setup
  jffnms-0.8.3.ebuild, line 42: Called built_with_use '=dev-lang/php-4*' 'spl'
  eutils.eclass, line 1619: Called die

!!! dev-lang/php-4.4.4-r4 does not actually support the spl USE flag!

So it'd be wonderful if one of the netmon devs could go thru the install
and sort out the USE flag issues.

thanks in advance.
