Is there a special reason why net-misc/sendfile is keyworded to x86 and ppc only and not at least -amd64 or ~amd64? I'd like to use sendfile on an amd64 box - will provide info on whether it's working :-)
So try it and reopen if it works.
Works for me - just sent several megs from an x86 to ym amd64 box without problems or file corruption.
there's a missing dependency when executing fetchfile -I: sh: pgp: command not found %fetchfile-Fatalerror: pgp call failed : No such file or directory
well.. you probably need pgp if you want pgp...
Sorry, this is not what the initial bug report was about, please re-check both title and initial post. The question was whether net-misc/sendfile could be moved from ~amd64 to amd64, Christoph Mende just "hijacked" this entry.
Well, I tested it, to see if it's stable - ran into that missing dep or whatever. BTW I do have gnupg-1.4.5 and gnupg-1.9.21 installed, tried to tell sendfile to use gpg instead of pgp which didn't work. And IMHO there shouldn't be any packages in a stable branch that are missing dependencies ;)

broken deps, no maintainer, sending to treeclaners
Wonderful.

ãmd64 is fine with me - I use it frequently and I'm not experiencing any problems, but I'm not a maintainer (and currently don't have the time to become one).
