Description Luca 2006-09-15 03:42:46 UTC
Overview Description: when browsing the web konqueror renders some font families with meaningless symbols. This is an example taken from code boxes of the gentoo forums: ftp://luc4.homelinux.org/images/code.jpg. This happens on my system only when minimum font size is higher or equal to 10. In this case the font family badly rendered is courier.

Steps to Reproduce: doesn't happen on every system it seems. Simply set minimum font size to 10 at least and browse code boxes of gentoo forums for instance.

Actual Results: strange symbols are showed.

Excpected results: courier font should be used.

Build Date & Platform: Konqueror 3.5.4 on Gentoo 2005.0.

Can't reproduce. You might move your ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc file elsewhere, restart Konquoror and change your font to courier, but nothing else, to assure this is really triggered by the font. Your description in itself sounds more like you have changed the "standard encoding" drop down box on the config page to something else than "language specific encoding", but in conjunction with your statement that the font size matters it's getting completely weird.
