It seems this problem is also known as 38 and 156, and was presumed solved. I have tried: emerge rsync emerge mplayer mplayer -dvd 3 -vo x11 Encrypted VOB file (not compiled with libcss support)! Read DOCS/cd-dvd.html. Here is emerge info Portage 2.0.46-r9 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.1, glibc-2.3.1-r2) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.18-wolk3.8 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" USE="x86 3dnow aalib acpi afs alsa apache2 apm arts avi berkdb bonobo cdr crypt cups decss dga directfb doc dvd encode esd evo fbcon flash gb gd gdbm ggi gif gnome gphoto2 gpm gtk gtkhtml guile imap imlib innodb ipv6 java jikes jpeg junit kde kerberos lcms ldap libg++ libgda libwww maildir mbox mikmod mmx motif mozilla mpeg mule mysql nas ncurses nls oav oci8 odbc oggvorbis opengl oss pam pcmcia pda pdflib perl plotutils png pnp postgres python qt qtmt quicktime readline ruby samba sasl scanner sdl slang slp snmp socks5 spell sse ssl svga tcltk tcpd tetex tiff truetype trusted wmf X xml xml2 xmms xv zlib" COMPILER="gcc3" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=i686 -pipe" CXXFLAGS="" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" MAKEOPTS="-j2" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" FEATURES="sandbox ccache"
What version of mplayer ? In theory it should work fine (does here).
Works for me, no feedback from bug creator.
Doesn't work here (same error as reporter.) Tell me what info do you need. I've this problem since ages and I'm forced to use ogle :-/
