All version of multimux up to and including multimux-0.24 cannot create files greater then 2G (or 4G) for 2 reasons: 1) Multimux will die with "file size limit exceeded" after 2GiB. 2) The RIFF WAVE format is limited to 4GiB in size. multimux-0.25beta fixes both.
Created attachment 96646 [details] multimux-0.2.5 beta ebuild Multimux-0.2.5 beta ebuild; the file also references multimux-0.2.5_beta-makefiles.patch which is just a renamed copy of multimux-0.2.4-makefiles.patch (already in portage)
For clarity, large filesize support has been working in multimux since 0.2.3. Fix Bug# 141651 by having 'flag-o-matic' inherited correctly so that 'append-lfs-flags' works and '1)' will be fixed. Still, raw wave output support would be nice to have. Lets hope it makes it into portage sometime soon. Also perhaps a simple sed or dosed instead of maintaining the seperate Makefile patch would make sense. Lets keep the portage tree clean :)
bumped to 0.2.5.1 :)
