I'll attach a suggested patch, to make alsa-driver compile on a non-oss kernel (for example if having USE=-oss)
Created attachment 7723 [details, diff] alsa-driver-0.90_rc6.ebuild.patch Adds oss to IUSE and makes use of it to enable or disable oss emulation in alsa-driver.
I am not sure if it is a good idea to use this flag, though... any other suggestions?
What do you mean by "non-oss kernel"?
Ooooops... I overlooked this comment for so long that I even forgot what I meant by this "non-oss kernel". The only thing that seems to make sense is "compiling alsa without oss emulation".
Ok, I don't see any problem with applying your patch. Fixed in 0.9.4-r1. Thanks!
