The headline is "Upgrade guide to MySQL 4.* or 5.0.*" while the summary is "This document describes how to upgrade from MySQL 4.* to 5.0.*".
One more thing.. Second "Important" note in 4. Upgrading from recent versions of MySQL: ... If the data contain non-ASCII characters, you may want to preserve the default character set of the database replacing all occurrences of utf8 with latin1 into the /etc/mysql/my.cnf config file. ... There should be "IN the /etc/mysql/my.cnf config file" instead of "INTO ..." if I'm right.
Fixed in CVS. Clarified summary. Also discovered numerous issues introduced with someone else's previous commit, so took the time to fix those as well. Thanks for reporting; lots of things got fixed. :)
