Description Jani Averbach 2006-09-09 10:11:35 UTC
Hi,

When I upgraded my old sys-power/nut-1.0.4 to 2.0.4-r1, the new ebuild did not
add my nut-user to tty group.

# id nut
uid=84(nut) gid=84(nut) groups=84(nut)

And for this reason the nutdrv failed to start.
Unable to open /dev/ttyS1: Permission denied

  Current user id: nut (84)
Serial port owner: root (0)
Serial port group: tty (5)
     Mode of port: 0660

# cat /etc/gentoo-release
Gentoo Base System version 1.12.4
