This is after a new installation of Gentoo, ie. I never had expat installed. Or is some application from stage3 (2006.1 x86) linked against libexpat.so.0? Correction... I *DO* have expat installed. (ch2) knospe shm # ls -lad /var/db/pkg/*/*expa* drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 9. Sep 04:29 /var/db/pkg/dev-libs/expat-2.0.0 Because of expat 2.0.0, I've got: (ch2) knospe shm # ls -la /usr/lib/libexpat.so.1.5.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 126448 9. Sep 04:29 /usr/lib/libexpat.so.1.5.0 Okay, rephrase the question - why is pango linking against libexpat.so.0 and not libexpat.so.1? If it requires libexpat.so.0 and not .1, shouldn't expat < 2.0.0 be a requirement of this ebuild?
Hm, thinking about it, I just might have forgotten to run revdep-rebuild.... Sorry about the bug spam, closing this bug now.
