User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060124 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: I'm tring to compile gcc-4.1.1 on a fresh new install (2006.1) on my new AMD64 (AM2) dual core, in order to compile with CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mno-tls-direct-seg-refs" for use with xen. I then tried by removing -mno-tls-direct-seg-refs but this did not fix the problem. stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/ -B/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ -O2 -pipe -mno-tls-direct-seg-refs -fprofile-generate -DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -pedantic -Wno-long-long -Wno-variadic-macros -Wold-style-definition -Wmissing-format-attribute -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-4.1.1/work/gcc-4.1.1/gcc -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-4.1.1/work/gcc-4.1.1/gcc/. -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-4.1.1/work/gcc-4.1.1/gcc/../include -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-4.1.1/work/gcc-4.1.1/gcc/../libcpp/include -c insn-attrtab.c \ -o insn-attrtab.o {standard input}: Assembler messages: {standard input}:33084: Warning: end of file not at end of a line; newline inserted xgcc: Internal error: Killed (program cc1) Please submit a full bug report. Can you reproduce the problem, i.e. - does it fail again at *exactly* the same space? You ran out of RAM most likely, try w/ more RAM/swap.
Hello, Yes adding swap fixed this issue. (forgot to create my swapfs, and only 512MB) Thanks !
