Please test 2.7 version (now that the UIC problem is fixed).
I'll have a look at 2.7, also possible DEPEND bug: /usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.1/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lasound collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
The ebuild is bad.. added the alsa-lib dependency but there are big problems with it and I don't really want to start getting into this.
