Description Markus 2006-09-07 10:52:16 UTC
I emerged =app-laptop/hdapsd-20060409 and did a "emerge --config =app-laptop/hdapsd-20060409". It patched the kernel and I configured and made and installed the kernel.
It is recognized correctly by hdaps as Thinkpad Z60m:

hdaps: IBM ThinkPad Z60m detected.
hdaps: initial latch check good (0x01).
hdaps: device successfully initialized.
input: hdaps as /class/input/input3
hdaps: driver successfully loaded.

But on the start of hdapsd it will fail:

 * No protect entry for sda!
 * Make sure your kernel is patched with the blk_freeze patch

It worked before the upgrade of the major gcc4/glibc2.4
(And yes, I followed the official gcc upgrade guide -- full rebuild)
