Description Michael Biebl 2006-09-06 03:01:30 UTC
I emerged wpa_supplicante with the qt3 USE flag. This installs /usr/bin/wpa_gui and /usr/share/applications/wpa_gui-wpa_supplicant.desktop. The desktop file references the icon wpa_supplicant.png, but this icon is not installed by wpa_supplicant.

wpa_supplicant does not include an icon.

Get upstream to include one or make one yourself and post that upstream :)

Well, I'm not an artist. So the first option is moot.
About the second one, imho it's part of the distributions work to do such integration work. Why not use an existing icon in /usr/share/pixmaps|/usr/share/icons for wpa_gui-wpa_supplicant.desktop until it ships its own icon.

Sure! Why not tell me which icons are available on all desktop configurations?
That's right, none!

So upstream will have to include one.
