Also attach a full build log. There is probably a reason why the file cannot be found. Also make sure that you did not redigest a broken tarball.

Well,

In gathering the information you requested, I ran an 
emerge --sync  && emerge --oneshot  =sys-libs/db-4.2.52_p2-r1 > /tmp/db_emerge.log 2>&1

And it worked. So I have marked this as INVALID
