Description Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-02 22:06:24 UTC
The GLI translations have started and we need some place in the CVS where we can store all our files.
GLI guys chose the "gentoo/src/installer/src/fe/dialog/languages" for this purposes.
Could you please change the permissions on this dir to allow everybody from the cvstrans group (all the translators we have in the project) to have r/w access there? Thanks in advance.

That location may change when the other frontend gets internationalization support. It may be best to just give them r/w on the entire installer code.

gli folks:
ok to give translators access to all of installer?
Comment 3 Preston Cody (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-09 03:32:13 UTC
yeah sure. i'm not worried that they'll change anything.
GLI is currently undergoing an overhaul though, so there should NOT be any effort made to translate anything in the trunk, only in the overhaul branch.

It's actually best to just grant the access and we'll send a message to the docs team when we have GLI to a good spot.

permission changed.

Just to make sure, the new GLI repo is SVN and called 'gli'. The CVS repo referenced in the summary is on longer in use. Which did you change permissions on?

I changed the one in CVS per this bug request.
The SVN one should work for docs folk already, they just need to be in the plain SVN group for access.

Heh, ok. This bug was originally filed many months ago and went ignored until now. In the mean time, the installer stuff was moved from CVS to SVN. Anyway, it's all good now :)
