The pulseaudio-0.9.5 ebuild fails to build module-cli. This is the console module, which means that without it you cannot interact with pulseaudio once it has been launched. It also means that a new user has next to no chance of finding out how pulseaudio works because the console interface is where the instructions are.

0.9.4-r1 doesn't have this problem and starts up normally, with a console session, when "pulseaudio -nC" is entered.

Reopen with some errors and emerge --info.
