With the relaesh of Gentoo 2006.1 and the stablisation of gcc-4.1 and glibc-2.4 it would be a good time sujust updateing /etc/make.profile link to /etc/make.profile -> /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/x86/2006.1/desktop/
or /server.

Dang Im dumb, To add this to the "Upgrading Guide" for gcc.

no, the gcc upgrading guide is for upgrading gcc, not for upgrading between releases
