Hi, I know this info is not enough but I don't know what info is needed to report this very weird functioning of kcalc. It emerged properly, worked once, and now, everytime y press *any* operation key (+,-,*, etc), by pressing the correspondant key or by clicking it, the display reverst to 0, so I cannot do any operation with this calc. For example to do 569+76: I type 569 and when I select the + option, the display is now 0. I type 76 and press = and the result goes to 0 again. If more info needed please tell me how to get it, and I'll post.
You should at least tell what version of kcalc is having this issue, what version of xorg your running and include your emerge --info
kcalc version: 3.5.4. Xorg version: 7.0-r1 (and I have installed scim for japanese and chinese input if it matters)
Created attachment 95735 [details] My emerge --info
I can reproduce, and I thought I was the only one having this problem, since a while. The common thing, I have SCIM enabled too. Bad behaviour with XIM probably, worth submitting upstream.

upstream issue is updated now. At least other gentoo user (besides Diego and me) have this issue too!! See http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139342 for more details. (Maybe a gentoo specific bug??)
In upstream report there is at least other two gentoo users who have same problem besides me and Diego (from comment #4). Updated versions of kcalc, xorg does not solve the problem. I can still reproduce with kcalc 2.0.6 using kde 3.5.7 and modular xorg (xorg-server 1.2.0-r3)
There's not really anything constructive we can do about this. Please re-open this bug if the upstream bug has a solution/work-around/patch or anything that might help.
