Description Tony Krysak 2006-09-01 10:00:15 UTC
firefox-bin crashes on startup, every time. Here's a startup with gdb, and a stack trace. Looks like it's having touble in _pango_fc_font_map_remove()

(gdb) run
Starting program: /opt/firefox/firefox-bin

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

(gdb) quit

I'm bascially running an up to date ~amd64 system, I just upgraded to xorg-x11 7.1 since the latest nvidia-drivers finally support it. I wonder if it can be related to stepping up from the old 6.8 I was running. My current emulation libs are:

and finally emerge info..

kind of had the same problem and after searching for a solution for about 2 weeks now i found out that unmerging mplayerplug-in fixed everything for me so .. give it a try
