CPU goes mad when I open the example file in gedit and bluefish. And everything is fine in editor like quanta+. Maybe the problem is in syntax highlighting library? Or gedit and bluefish use the same code for doing it?

We are *packaging* the stuff, not writing it. Performance issues need to go upstream. Reopen if you have a proof that this is a Gentoo-specific issue (sore lack of information here anyway.)
