- nothing depends in it - dead upstream - doesn't compile w/ gcc-4 (Bug 145855) - doesn't compile w/ net-im/jabberd-2* (Bug 128860) and it actually breaks it (Bug 129197) - should be replaced by something that's actually developped, such as pyaim-t (Bug 123160)
(In reply to comment #0) > - nothing depends in it $ pquery2 --revdep net-im/aim-transport --raw net-im/jabberd-1.4.3-r4 net-im/jabberd-1.4.3-r5 net-im/jabberd-1.4.4-r2 Means =net-im/jabberd-1.4.3* and -1.4.4* DEPENDS on it (at least one stable version). Gustavo/net-im: What is your preferred solution for this ? Either mark one of the this ebuilds (net-im/jabberd-2.0.9 net-im/jabberd-2.0.10 net-im/jabberd-2.0.11) or remove the aim-transport dependency from the above mentioned ebuilds (1.4.3*/1.4.4*).
humpback doesn't want this any more, see recent email to -dev ML.
Version 1.4.4-r3 resolves it (has also preventive block against net-im/aim-transport), but it's currently masked for further testing, bug #149358 will track progress for stabilization of 1.4.4-r3. After it goes stable all <1.4.4-r3 will be removed and aim-transport can die.
please don't close dependent bugs as CANT/WONTFIX until the package actually gets removed. if someone steps up to maintain the package, they often forget to reopen them. thanks ;d
aim-transport can be now masked and removed.
treecleaners, vote. ++
Uh, die...
