Hmmm, you have the xtrans package emerged? It's not a dependency from vnc itself, but emerging libSM for example, emerges xtrans. Have you done revdep-rebuild first?

No.

> Have you done revdep-rebuild first?

Yes, I tried it after revdep-rebuild as well (2nd and 3rd, not first :-)

So emerge it and try again... ;)

Comment 4 Péter Werner 2006-09-04 15:26:18 UTC
This happened with xorg-x11 6.8. I can't test it easily since I was in the middle of upgrade and now I have xorg-x11 7.0. Perhaps this one was a reincarnation of bug 145756 (dependency on xorg-server 1.1.1).

From my side it can be closed but if you still want me to test it, I will try it on another amd64 that still has xorg-x11 6.8. (I will study keywording in the meanwhile :-)
Comment 5 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-04 15:33:36 UTC
Well no, it plain won't work w/ xorg-6.8, even if it compiled. If you can reproduce it w/ xorg-7.1 and x11-libs/xtrans installed, feel free to reopen.
