I dont want revdep-rebuild to build the very same version as is already, but instead just install the latest package for every ebuild. i read the documentation, and -X or --packages-names seems to be exactly what i want. But after passing the several revdep build, it finally launches the following emerge line, which is not what i expected. AFAIK it uses exact atoms for the latest versions.
Ok, my fault. It actually uses the latest revision, although the version is still hardcoded in the emerge command line.
