The ebuild vdr-text2skin(-cvs) should be ported to gentoo.org. Best is creating a cvs-snapshot if last release is too old.

Then the skins (with eclass perhaps) should be ported to gentoo.org.
The question is the right category to put them in?

At the moment they reside in the gentoo.de-overlay.

This Bug is also related to Bug #145572, as some of the skins for text2skin also contain (or can use) Channel-Logos.

texts2skin will crash the entire vdr if you enable the livebuffer from the bigpatch. The plugin doesn't seem to be very stable.

the upstream link is dead in the meantime. I suggest to close.
