emerge sync, remerge headers, try again. If it still fails reopen bug.

cvs update -dP && emerge linux-headers && emerge xorg-server. Same error.

Same here ?

Which headers ?

I synced then # emerge linux-headers (2.6.17)

But I still have the same bug with xorg-server-1.1.1 (portage) and xorg-server-1.1.1-r1 (xgl-coffee)

Comment 7 Hanno Böck gentoo-dev 2006-08-29 17:54:21 UTC
This only fails on amd64 with linux-headers-2.6.17, which is not keyworded on amd64.

Should I try to unmerge linux-headers-2.6.17 and re-emerge previous keyworded version ?

OK, compiles nicely when downgrading to 2.6.16 headers.

I know it's not keyworded ~amd64, the bug aims to help with the development of linux-headers and xorg-server ebuilds.

Re-assigning. Plasmaroo, send it back if it's an X problem.

Probably VNC should be added too...
Comment 14 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-16 05:28:32 UTC
Whoops, so I added the patch ages ago to the patchset but didn't name it correctly and hence it didn't get applied. Fixed in 2.6.17-r1, thanks!
Comment 15 Sandro Bonazzola (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-21 12:53:20 UTC
Verified, works fine for me.
