Description Sebastian Stammler 2006-08-29 10:38:04 UTC
hi,
i just wanted to emerge graveman and when emerge started to configure dev-cpp/gnome-vfsmm-2.12.0 the following error message appeared:
checking for LIBGNOMEVFSMM... Requested 'gnome-vfs-2.0 >= 2.8.1' but version of gnome-vfs is 2.6.0
configure: error: Package requirements (glibmm-2.4 >= 2.4.0 gnome-vfs-2.0 >= 2.8.1 gnome-vfs-module-2.0 >= 2.8.1) were not met.

in the ebuild file i found: RDEPEND=">=gnome-base/gnome-vfs-2.6...
why RDEPEND isn't =">=gnome-base/gnome-vfs-2.8.1...  ?

Upgrade your system properly, using --deep. gnome-base/gnome-vfs-2.6.0 has been removed 10 months ago.
Comment 2 Sebastian Stammler 2006-08-29 11:05:57 UTC
i know, that some libs of my system are VERY old, but nevertheless i wanted to report the broken depencie ^^ it doesn't disturb the vfsmm package, if the deps in the ebuild are set correctly... i already planed for a long time to upgrade my system ;)

fixed with current stable.
