Multiplayer is broken is  Doomsday 1.9.0-beta4  - see http://forums.newdoom.com/showthread.php?t=31033

Suggest re-introducing version 1.9.0-beta3 (where the problem does not occur) and hard masking beta4.

The package 1.9.0-beta3, that you are requesting back, had a security issue. I am for waiting the beta5, where the problem you describe should be fixed.
