I am working on an ebuild for this control panel, and opened this bug, hoping to get some guidance needed so I can get an ebuild on bugzilla.

As of right now, the way the install package works from DTC is you put together an install script, and then run that install script which sets everything up for DTC, msyql, apache, e-mail, etc.

I am wondering how I should set up the ebuild.  Since the install script actually modifies the files for all the other services, and can it be called from the build? or does it need to be executed by the user?

No progress here for over 1 year, closing WONTFIX. Feel free to reopen with an ebuild.
