Description neal birch 2003-01-25 00:46:21 UTC
the default /etc/mutt/Muttrc file has set mbox_type=Maildir when it should be
lowercase.
i.e. set mbox_type=maildir
Comment 1 Stanislav Brabec 2003-02-05 10:27:22 UTC
man muttrc:

mbox_type
Type: folder magic
Default: mbox

The default mailbox type used when creating new folders. May be any of mbox, MMDF, MH and Maildir.

According to the mutt documentation, the setting is correct. Also this seems to be working for a lot of people. Is it still causing problems for you?

Closing bug since it seems to be correct. Please reopen this bug if the current setting is causing problems for you.
Comment 4 neal birch 2003-03-29 13:14:32 UTC
I had to modify the file to reflect the directory that was created, if I remember right. Maybe it was a glitch on my install, if it's not affecting anyone else.

Hm, that sounds like a different bug from what you originally reported. If you can recall the details, I'd be willing to look into it. If you can't recall then we'll just wait for it to come up again. (A bug that only appears once isn't really a bug.. ;-)
Comment 6 neal birch 2003-03-30 13:04:26 UTC
Ok, my bad, wrote that backwards on comment #4, I had to create the directory as it was not created with the correct case. If it were only me, it shouldn't matter.
Thanks
