there's a new beta version of testdisk (called WIP... i still don't know why...)
here's the ebuild slight modified from version 6.4

Upstream's WIP tarballs are snapshots taken after every change. They should be dated, but unfortunetly they aren't. Today's tarball (shows changes made 28/09/2006) doesn't even compile properly for me.
