[*]   USB Mass Storage Write-Protected Media Detection (EXPERIMENTAL)
seems to be no longer present. (Doesnt show up me anymore, recent gentoo-sources).
It should be removed from kernel - guess it is now compiled with UMS by default.

Confirmed it has been removed since at least kernel 2.6.14-r5 (which I use). Fixed in CVS. Thanks for reporting.
