Hi, I made an ebuild for the nozomi kernel module. Its kinda quick'n'dirty but it works for me and I thougt I'd share the work. This is the right driver for a vodafone UMTS-Card if your lspci has a line similar to that: 0b:00.0 Network controller: Option N.V. Qualcomm MSM6275 UMTS chip bye, Momsen
Created attachment 94967 [details] the nozomi driver ebuild
Created attachment 108757 [details] nozomi ebuild version 060917 (2.21alpha) Version 2.21 is needed for kernel version 2.6.18 and above. Additionally, i changed the SRC_URI to my webserver since the original file is embedded in a mambo forum and i cannot deeplink the file. Tested with 2.6.19-gentoo-r5 Added to udev-rules: KERNEL=="noz*" MODE="0660" GROUP="tty" PS: this driver also works for the T-Mobile web'n'walk compact card. #mb

Created attachment 115856 [details, diff] new patch that worked for me(the old one didn't) here the new patch please use diff against directories using http://dev.gentoo.org/~masterdriverz/patch.xml (the original patch didn't worked for me)
Please note that this driver is included in the -mm kernel series. GregKH made several changes/improvements to it over there. I'd recommend you verify the version against that one, as the pharscape driver crashed too often on me.
Created attachment 138091 [details, diff] nozomi patch for 2.6.23 nozomi doesn't work with the 2.6.23 kernel... then i found that brokenout exsted... basicaly it's mm with the big patch broken in small patches... here's the nozomi patch... but it'll need work to work as module package against the kernel...because here it's just a patch against the kenrel...
I think this can be closed because this driver is included in 2.6.25.
(In reply to comment #8) > I think this can be closed because this driver is included in 2.6.25. yeah, I second that, so...
