Hello, I marked linux-headers-2.6.16 stable on ppc64. please update the 2006.1 snapshot so this gets into the release. Thanks, corsair P.S.: I had to do this, because xorg-server-1.1.1 requires them. (see bug #140300)
No. For one, the release is already done. Second, we do not use xorg-server 1.1.1 in the release, so the point is 100% moot. The release is a *snapshot* of a particular state in time. At that time, it was the older headers and xorg-server 1.1.0 stable. When the user does their first "emerge --sync" they should get both newer headers and also a newer xorg-server (if it, too, is stable)... if xorg-server requires the newer headers, it simply needs to state as much in its dependencies.
ok. thanks for the info. closing.
