Description reisio 2006-08-22 00:46:31 UTC
The way it was:
/e[TAB]/po[TAB]/p[TAB].whatever

How it is now:
/e[TAB]/po[TAB]/p[TAB]
    ...nothing...
    [TAB] again
    package.keywords package.unmask postsync.d/
    package.mask package.use

This is annoying. Couldn't this be 'aftersync.d' and 'after_sync' or something?

nope.
Also this isn't the only dir starting with 'p', /etc/portage/profile can also exist.
Comment 2 Vlastimil Babka (Caster) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-22 00:57:16 UTC
How bout:

/e[TAB]/po[TAB]/pa[TAB]

That much harder? 'a' is close to TAB anyway :)

I guess it'd be silly to switch a word out for a synonym.

Which is a disadvantage as 'a' and 'TAB' are hit by the same finger on a QWERTY keyboard.

Oh well, guess I'll just make an overlay.
