Please, don't restrict bugs without any reason. Just leave those checkboxes alone.

cat /proc/interrupts output? Looks like it conflicts w/ something else.

Comment 3 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-21 04:21:11 UTC
/proc/interrupts is irrelevent. You really need to post the full panic message, although fcpci being closed-source, the maintainers probably can't do much about it...
Comment 4 Stefan Briesenick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-21 09:24:30 UTC
the closed-source driver only supports *ONE* card. Though there are patches somewhere on the net to support up to 4 cards. But the kernel driver code has to be patched for every further card. So you end up with something like fcpci01.ko, fcpci02.ko, etc.

@genstef: you might want to find the patches and include them somehow in the ebuild?

i find Two-Fritzcards-HOWTO, but it's to old.
http://www.quiss.org/caiviar/Two-Fritzcards-HOWTO

i see latest fcpci sources and find this code:

        if (NULL != capi_controller) {
                ERROR("Cannot handle two controllers!\n");
                return -EBUSY;
        }

this mean don't kernel panic

Well if you can reproduce this w/ uptodate net-dialup/fritzcapi ebuild then reopen this bug.
