I'm KDE user and trying to install Xgl using http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_XGL

On emerging one of compiz dependencies, gnome-base/gnome-desktop-2.14.2, I've got:

 * Running elibtoolize in: gnome-desktop-2.14.2

Eh, your patch binary segfaults. This is not an ebuild bug. Find yourself a working sys-devel/patch binary package, unpack it to / and try again. You might also want to reboot, check your RAM etc.
