Description Pietro Franchi 2006-08-18 05:41:32 UTC
0.14.6 (2006-07-15)
- Some small fixes for xorg 7.0 builds.
- Made the driver work with xorg 7.1.
- Updated the compatibility list.

There are just some small changes (no new features).

The xorg-7 patches are now not needed, and I think we can make use of PICFLAG for adding -fPic with USE dlloader.

This patch also includes the fix for bug #141122 .

I've checked your bumping patch which include my change bug #141122.
So, I've updated x11-drivers/synaptics-0.14.6 by using it on my overlay.
I'd have to say IT JUST WORK(tm).
Thank your contributing, Pietro. :)

However, I know the old one which is already in official tree.
And, it works fine, at least for me (on ~ppc env).
So, I'll follow and see the maintainers' direction.

What was the reason for dropping the has_version checks?
Comment 4 Pietro Franchi 2006-11-02 00:20:58 UTC
The reason is because the new Makefile apparently does all the checks, so it seemed to me that doing it also in the ebuild was redundant. I think are the lines from 28 in the Makefile.

I haven't tested it with an old Xorg, but it works with the new.

Alright. Seemant, do you have time to do this bump?
Comment 6 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-02 14:52:16 UTC
oh whoops, yeah, I'll, do this right now.
