Try moving aside your kvirc config dir (by default ~/kvirc-3.0.0-beta2), it often helps with this kind of kvirc problem.
Well, actually it works now after the kde3.1 merge. Don't know what caused it but when i updated to kde3.1 it resolved itself. Tried running the old binary ( did'nt remerge ) and it worked.. Actually i saved the output from the update i did when it started to work: [ebuild U ] net-mail/exim-4.12 [4.10] [ebuild U ] app-admin/fam-oss-2.6.9-r1 [2.6.9] [ebuild U ] net-print/cups-1.1.18-r4 [1.1.18-r2] [ebuild U ] sys-devel/binutils-2.13.90.0.18 [2.13.90.0.16-r1] [ebuild U ] net-print/foomatic-2.0.2 [2.0.0] [ebuild U ] media-gfx/gimp-print-4.2.5 [4.2.4] [ebuild U ] app-text/ghostscript-7.05.5-r2 [7.05.5-r1] [ebuild U ] x11-libs/qt-3.1.0-r2 [3.1.0-r1] [ebuild U ] kde-base/arts-1.1.0 [1.1.0_rc6] [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.1 [3.1_rc6] [ebuild U ] media-sound/lame-3.93.1-r1 [3.93.1] [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdebase-3.1 [3.1_rc6] [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdenetwork-3.1 [3.1_rc6] [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdepim-3.1 [3.1_rc6] [ebuild U ] app-doc/kdelibs-apidocs-3.1 [3.1_rc6] [ebuild U ] app-office/openoffice-bin-1.0.2 [1.0.1] [ebuild U ] net-mail/fetchmail-6.2.1-r1 [6.2.1] [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdegraphics-3.1 [3.1_rc6] [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeutils-3.1 [3.1_rc6] [ebuild U ] media-libs/win32codecs-0.90.1-r2 [0.90.1-r1] [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.1 [3.1_rc6]
Ohh, btw. I see now that i wrote KDE3.1 when it must've been 3.1_rc6. Sorry for that :)
mark as fixed cause it works for the reporter.
