In some cases (I believe one such case is if you accidentally press "any key" (to display the next page of the diff) one time too many), dispatch-conf will call the diff command three times in rapid succession before asking the user for input again. I am using gentoolkit 0.2.2 , the only non-default part of my dispatch-conf config is replacing "diff -Nu %s %s" with "colordiff -Nu %s %s", and here is my emerge --info: Portage 2.1-r2
