XFApplet from http://goodies.xfce.org/ allows one to run almost any gnome-panel applet on their xfce-4.4 panel. Comes in handy for programs such as uim which only provide a gnome-panel applet, or if you just *have* to have that deskbar applet in your XFCE. Notes: * Only personally tested on ~amd64, however I expect the package to run anywhere any of the other XFCE programs run. * XFApplet normally displays its icon on the panel when the gnome applet isn't loaded yet, but partly due to Bug #143827, and partly due to Xfapplet only providing SVG icons, this package will not have the icon unless xfce4-panel was installed with SVG support (see the aforementioned bug for the caveats of this). Perhaps PNG icons should be provided as well as a fallback.

Had done up an ebuild for this quite a while ago. Finally added, thanks for reporting. Give it a bit to hit your local rsync.
