Upgrade from mysql-4.0 to mysql-4.1 silently and without any warning removed the mysql info manual without any substitution - I only accidentally found out few days later when I needed the documentation really badly and it was just gone. I didn't find this mentioned in the upgrade guide nor changelogs either. For unexplained reasons, the mysql eclass builds mysql --without-docs and just to be sure removes /usr/share/info altogether after the build is over. I don't understand why it is doing this - if there is any substitute package containing the manual, I didn't find it and the ebuild does not hint it either. At the very least there should be a big warning that the upgrade is going to remove your documentation (why can't it at least keep the old version around?). Note to bug 146010: I have this issue with upgrade inside 4.0.x line (which make sense, because there is only one mysql.eclass for all version).
