running on a powermac g4 dual 533, radeon 8500 mac edition agp card. xstarts
fine but when it quits, the screen goes blank and my monitor goes into powersave
mode. the console never returns. the machine continues to function otherwise (i
can ssh to type 'reboot').

Rajiv:

This is a known upstream kernel thing. Please try the 2.4.20-r2 and lemme know
if it works ok. P.S. You may get console corruption on quitting X, this is
still a known kernel issue.
Comment 5 Mark Guertin 2003-02-04 12:39:21 UTC
also something else to try, is to disable the AGP support. Not sure if this will
work, but it's not up to par so it's worth a shot.
Comment 6 Mark Guertin 2003-02-10 03:14:44 UTC
closing this as cantfix (until the kernel gets the act together anyway)
