All versions of sys-kernel/ck-sources beginning with 2.6.17_p1 up to 2.6.17_p1-r2 suffer a xfs corruption bug. Please fix this.

fix for the xfs corrution
Comment 2 Christian Hesse 2006-08-10 05:47:33 UTC
BTW, perhaps other kernel ebuilds are still affected?
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-10 05:54:05 UTC
gentoo-sources fixed in Bug 140980

Also note that ck-sources is not a supported kernel - http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-kernel.xml#doc_chap3

And, you should use latest xfsprogs to fix the damage - see 143377.

@kernel - please, fix the metadata.xml; x86-kernel@gentoo.org is not a working bugzie alias. Thanks.

ck-sources-2.6.17_p1-r3.ebuild

This is the ebuild I used to pull in genpatches 2.6.17-8 instead of genpatches 2.6.17-4. I modified it from the official ck-sources-2.6.17_p1-r2.ebuild just changing K_GENPATCHES_VER="4" to K_GENPATCHES_VER="8".

I didn't get any errors from the emerge and I am currently using the compiled kernel on my system.

In CVS, sorry for the delay. I got sidetracked half way though fixing this and forgot that I didn't finish.
