Description Timo Myyrä 2006-08-10 02:01:54 UTC
I tried to emerge gentoo-sources-2.6.17-r4 but it failed complaining that "Manifest could not find file, gentoo-sources-2.6.17-r5 ebuild".
I don't have the exact error with me anymore.
After checking with the online package manager, I found out that that kind of ebuild hasn't been made yet so this might be a bug.

I solved this by manually editing the /usr/portage/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources/Manifest file and commented the lines refering to gentoo-sources-2.6.17-r5 ebuilds.

It works for me, sorry. Have you tried syncing again ?

No, I tried it yesterday evening and I don't usually sync twice a day or even everyday for that matter.

I'll try to resync once I get from work to see if it's been fixed.

Just resynced and the problem seems to be fixed :)
