Description Roman Gruber 2006-08-09 13:07:16 UTC
I tried to emerge gnome-power-manager and vlc and each crashes.

I have the actual system, because i have today synced and updated my system.

I use x86_64 2.6.17-gentoo-r4 kernel.

please post the output of of the command "emerge --info"
Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-10 03:39:52 UTC
We need emerge --info and also some compile output; also don't file summary bugs about completely unrelated ebuilds.

OUTPUT: emerge gnome-power-manager

No error there at all.
Comment 6 Steev Klimaszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-11 00:49:17 UTC
I think what we need to see is what exactly the "crashes" are - output of the apps crashing - run them from a terminal so we can see the output of when they crash please
Comment 7 Roman Gruber 2006-08-11 02:31:20 UTC
That are the last lines; copied from the terminal

please re-emerge docbook2X and the associated dtds. Please reopen if it still exists, along with the entire build output.
